Malinda Sammons LMT
Hello to all! My name is Malinda Sammons. I was born and raised in Riverside, Iowa where my parents still reside and have an older sister who works as a Radiologist in Casper, Wyoming. I have been living in the Cedar Rapids area for the last 3 years. From a young age I knew my passion and career would be working with people to improve their health and well-being because I have always had an interest in caring for others. My elementary dreams of becoming a brain surgeon evolved into a satisfying career of Massage Therapist.
After receiving an A.A. degree from Kirkwood Community College the next degree was from Carlson College of Massage Therapy where I graduated in 2011. Officially, I am licensed by the State of Iowa as an LMT and member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Shortly after graduating, I enthusiastically traveled to Thailand to learn Thai Massage from Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse into the culture of Thailand while becoming certified in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.
My specialties include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Thai Yoga Massage. I will also be taking classes in Ashiatsu very soon!
In my free time I enjoy hiking, knitting, reading, and most of all – traveling! I hope to do much more traveling in my future. I am very excited to meet you soon!
